The House

Every object marks a crossing — sleep and waking, dirty and clean, the room you left and the room you return to. Almos makes the instruments of ritual hygiene. Nothing here is medicine. Everything here is deliberate.

The First Object

The hero object of the house. A full-scale apothecary vessel of consecrated botanical spirit — frankincense, clove, sage, rose, peppermint and tea tree carried in grain spirit and spring water.

Cold-process bars, scored down the centre and made to be broken. Three scents, one trinity: Smoke, Light, Ground.

Salts and soaks for the body that has been somewhere it didn't want to go.

HUILES

Oils for the body, the mouth, the soles of the feet. Applied by hand, in order, without hurry.

TEINTURES

Concentrated botanical spirits in dropper glass. For the bath and the air — never for drinking.

OBJETS

The instruments that outlive their contents — copper, cherrywood, bone bristle, hand-dyed muslin. Refill them. Keep them.
