Sonification engine
Hear the structure of anything.
XIPHION translates numerical, harmonic, geometric and temporal relationships into sound you can navigate, reproduce and export.
- In
- Numbers · geometry · cycles · sky
- Map
- Pure, versioned, deterministic
- Out
- Audio · MIDI · a code you can rerun
The pipeline
Five layers. One direction. No guesswork.
XIPHION does not choose frequencies. It asks what can be represented as relationships — and what that structure sounds like. Every stage is deterministic, so the same input always gives the same sound.
- 01SourceSky, sequences, geometry, the body — read by adapters that know nothing about sound.
- 02StructureOne typed object of nodes, relations and cycles. Sound and image read the same one.
- 03MappingA pure, versioned function from structure to pitch, interval, rhythm, phase and space.
- 04SonificationThe audio engine renders the streams. It never interprets the data.
- 05ExperienceStudio to play it, Library to keep it, Terminal to design it, Visualiser to see it.
The code
Every sound is a recipe you can run again.
A XIPHION code is not a track. It is the source, the structure, the mapping and its version — enough to reproduce the exact sound, anywhere, any time.
source geometry · seed 432 Hz structure fifths-spiral · 9 nodes mapping ratio→pitch · golden-angle pan render sine voices · echo on the seed period export audio · MIDI
Applications
One engine. Many instruments.
01GeometryFifths spirals, octave columns, the golden ratio and the harmonic series — unfolded from a single seed tone.
02NumberThe 3 · 6 · 9 family and its modular seams, heard as intervals rather than read as digits.
03Frequency practiceThe canonical frequency library, every code a reproducible recipe — the engine’s first application, not its limit.
04CompositionExport what you hear as MIDI and keep working in the tools you already use.

Bring a structure. Leave with its sound.
